Kelly & Matt are married! Their entire winter wedding was at the Chandelier Ballroom in Hartford, Wisconsin.
The first time we worked with Jane Kelly Floral was in 2014. Immediately upon arrival, they approached us, introduced themselves and gave us an extra boutineer for when the groom’s went soggy. To say they left a lasting impression is an understatement. We have been referring brides and grooms to them since. When Kelly emailed us in October 2015, her email was a different tone. See, this time around, she was getting married to her love, Matt! They’d set the date for January 28, 2017 and were so excited to finally be on the “other side” of the business.
Jane Kelly Floral is crazy busy. They do multiple weddings per weekend — a beautiful floral powerhouse, if you will. They’ve worked with all the local vendors. They know the ins and the outs. When Kelly & Matt emailed us to photograph their wedding, we were elated. The joy they radiated when talking about their own wedding day was contagious. It’s been an extremely fun 1.5 years working with these two in a different manner: helping them prepare for their own wedding day! And, boy, did they plan! The Chandelier Ballroom has never looked better! Kelly & Matt brought in the most beautiful tables, linens, drapes, lights, candles and… FLOWERS. Wait until you see the floral details! Even with all the weddings they witness, Kelly & Matt said their favorite part of the day was the First Look. We scheduled it nice and early because getting a lot of portraits was so important to them. We were able to relax, head to a secluded park and really enjoy the moments. They even arranged for their adorable and rambunctious two-year-old Golden Retriever, Lucy, to meet us. Because of their early First Look, Kelly & Matt were able to join their cocktail hour immediately following the intimate ceremony.
So what’s the advice of someone coming from the wedding industry? “Elope! 😉 Other than that, stay true to wedding planning that reflects you as a couple and enjoy the day. Don’t get caught up in the trends and “must do’s”. Have your big day be about you and what you both want!”
