Maggie & Ryan are married! Their entire day was at Trimborn Farm in Greenfield, Wisconsin.
Although these two beautiful people met in high school, they didn’t officially start dating until their sophomore year in college. After nearly ten years of dating, Ryan popped the question on a cold night in January. Maggie said, “Ryan seemed extra antsy” after returning from running errands. When he got home, he suggested a walk even though it was 9:30PM on a Tuesday in January. Maggie said, “I was suspicious, but figured why not? As he started heading toward our first date spot (Colectivo at the Lakefront), I thought…wait…is he? No…nope, no way! So completely talked myself out of it happening, whined about it being super cold.” Ryan ended up popped the question in front of their apartment door and Maggie quickly realized what he had been up to (Running errands was to ask Maggie’s parents for permission)! She said “yes” and then, “oh my gosh I ruined it!” When Maggie realized the original plan, she suggested walking back to Colectivo. Back down they went and Ryan proposed all over again! She said, “we were both crying and it felt even more real the second time.”
So, the planning began. They picked Trimborn Farm in Greenfield because they wanted something simple and rustic with a bohemian vibe. Maggies mom acted as their wedding planning and was really involved in the wedding. She planned it perfectly! The day came, and it was a huge mashup of Ryan’s Wisconsin family and Maggie’s East Coast family — and their friends from all over the globe. Everyone came together for the biggest celebration. They said, “neither of us could have been prepared for such an amazing way to kick off this next adventure.”
The farm, barn and tent were decorated with beautiful Wood Violet and Hannah’s Inspiration flowers (Maggie’s Mom’s Company) and polaroids Maggie & Ryan have been taking during their engagement. During the reception, they had the camera out for guests to add to the collection. You’ll also see large marquee lights “381” in the photographs. This has special meaning to Maggie’s family, as they sign all letters and emails to each other with it. 3 words, 8 letters, 1 meaning… I love you. Summing it up, so simply. So perfect.
Congratulations Maggie & Ryan!
