Lindsey & Charlie are married!
Lindsey & Charlie are our kind of people. After TJ dropped me off at Charlie’s sisters home to meet Lindsey, she greeted me with a huge smile. She was surrounded by friends and family, ready to rock. Lindsey had her hair in two low buns, uniquely different than any bride we’ve worked with. “You know, I just wanted something different. I wanted to feel like me.” Lindsey wasn’t worried about details. She was excited to see Charlie.
Across town in their apartment, Charlie got ready with his guys and dog, Congo. The morning was relaxed as they watched 80’s music video’s on YouTube. For the First Look, we went close to the Beerline Trail. For the first day of Autumn, it was honestly one of the hottest wedding day’s we’ve been a part of. Temperatures reached mid-90’s with soaring humidity levels. Lindsey & Charlie both said it was the biggest surprise of the day!
Lindsey & Charlie radiate love and laughter. When they’re together, they smile from ear-to-ear. One can’t help but want to be around them. Lindsey & Charlie are just cool. It showed in how they structured their day. They asked guests to arrive at 4:30PM for the ceremony at 5:00PM. Everyone was to get a cocktail and socialize as they waited. These two walked down the aisle together and had almost identical vows (that they didn’t realize until they were read out loud). As soon as the ceremony ended, Lindsey & Charlie joined cocktail hour.
The day was very social and that’s exactly what Lindsey & Charlie wanted. Well, they wanted a few other things too. For their advice for future brides & grooms, they said, “pick a couple areas that you feel strongly about and don’t blink twice about the rest. For us, we knew we wanted a band, and open bar, and donuts. Everything else was ancillary and we didn’t worry about those details. Everything fell into place perfectly and we saved ourselves a great deal of decision making and stress.” In other words, go with the donuts. Just do it.
