When TJ and I were planning our honeymoon, we had many ideas. We through big: Paris. We thought small: staycation. Somewhere in between was our idea of flying into Seattle and driving down the Pacific Coast Highway to San Francisco. After a short four-month engagement, we scrapped all planning and sat on a quiet beach for few days. In the midst of a wedding season, it was perfect. When the opportunity arose to photograph a beautiful wedding in San Clemente, we knew making this trip into a vacation was a must.
Starting in San Diego, we took the beautiful and coastal route back on Highway 1. We made stops in La Jolla, Ocean Beach, Carlsbad and where that looked pretty. After the wedding on Friday (blog post featuring that – soon to come), we slowly made our way up to San Francisco, stopping in Newport Beach, Seal Beach, Carmel, Oxnard, Santa Barbara, Pismo Beach, Morro Bay, San Simeon, Big Sur, Muir Woods… the list goes on. Road trips with the Uttkes take more time than Google Maps predicts!
