Andrea & Brian | Milwaukee Lighthouse Wedding

share /

Andrea & Brian are married!  Their day was held at the North Point Lighthouse in Milwaukee.

From our initial meeting with Andrea & Brian, we knew they were a special couple.  Within the first few minutes of meeting them, the level of respect and love they have for each other is so apparent, it just makes you smile.  Together, they radiate happiness.  They are non-traditional and extremely collaborative.  So, how did they meet?  Online. Andrea said, “We are proof online dating can work! After catching each other’s attention and exchanging email for a couple of weeks, we decided to see if the same connection and spark would exist in person. We met for our first date in July 2013.”  Their story bloomed from there.  Together, they love their families, traveling and wine.

For their engagement, they did things their own way.  “Being the very collaborate partners we are, we proposed to each other, and each said ‘yes’!”  They picked out a ring together that had significant meaning to both.  Andreas ring has rubies in it, which is Brian’s birthstone. The night Brian brought the ring home from the jeweler in June 2015, they each bought the other flowers, and celebrated at Colectivo Lakefront — their first date location.

As far as their wedding day, they invited their families and closest friends.  The party of 30 filled the Lighthouse for their ceremony.  Just prior to the ceremony, Andrea was alone on the second floor, watching guests arrive from the window above.  She said hearing the sound of their family and friends talking, laughing, and celebrating together was such a special moment. Andrea & Brian’s good friend, Drew, officiated and added stories, special touches and humor that was the right combination of serious and lighthearted.  They wrote their own vows and didn’t share until the ceremony.  They said, “Being fully present hearing what the other was promising – we will each remember that forever.”

Andrea and Brian said, “The day was more emotional than we expected. With our intimate wedding, each person’s presence was so clearly felt, as was their love and support for us. There were moments that were just a little overwhelming. But in such a lovely way.”  They also said, “Having planned the wedding that was so uniquely ‘us’, we have no regret and no post-wedding blues – just the feeling of overwhelming happiness and smiles as we think back on our special day.”

The newlyweds said, “The entire day was perfect, and we both loved every minute of it.  But overall, sharing our love with our closest family and friends was all amazing.”  We couldn’t agree more.  It was a true honor to be a part of this special, special day.
