Megan & Mitch are married! Their ceremony was held at Megan’s hometown church in Benton, Wisconsin. The celebration continued at the Grand River Center in Dubuque, Iowa.
When it’s 70 degrees on your November wedding day, you’re on top of the world. Megan & Mitch didn’t need the nice weather to be ecstatic though; they had an awesome wedding day in Benton & Dubuque. When we met Megan & Mitch at church, they were both putting on their final touches in preparation for the First Look. They both said the First Look was one of their favorite parts of the day. “The first look and seeing the smiles on each others face. It was the one moment to enjoy the day by yourselves!”
After the beautiful ceremony, we began the commute to Dubuque. The short half-hour drive was so scenic, we couldn’t help but stop for some photographs along the way. The Grand River Center is also quite the view. With the view along the river and the prime weather, everyone enjoyed cocktail hour outside. It was a perfect, perfect evening.
As our wedding year comes to an end, it’s incredible to hear everyone’s advice to future brides & grooms. Some of Megan & Mitch’s advice has been repeated throughout the year but it really is so so so important to remember. “… don’t sweat the small stuff! Be sure to go to your cocktail hour and enjoy the time with your guests. The day will truly go by in the blink of an eye.” They also added, “Go on your honeymoon right after. It feels so special and let’s be honest, you deserve it!”
Congratulations Megan & Mitch! Here’s how we saw the day.
