In 2010, Allison & Joe met when they were freshman at the University of Missouri-Columbia. During Christmas break, Ali and a few friends went to Joe’s fraternity. Joe introduced himself and they spent the entire night talking. Joe even asked Allison to a college “date party” but they did not officially begin dating until January of 2011. They said their first date was as embarrassing as it could be. They held hands through a movie and Ali slipped on ice in the theatre parking lot. “It was all kinds of happy awkwardness.” The two have been holding hands since.
As soon as we sat down at Harbor House with Allison & Joe, Joe broke the news: “today is Ali’s birthday!” Between happy hour drinks along the lake and fried chicken at Merriment Social, we got to spend this special evening with this sweet couple. The Milwaukee skyline looked impeccable and the wind coming off the lake was just right.
We’re so excited to celebrate with Allison and Joe… on birthdays and their wedding next August at Lake Park Bistro!
