Sonnie & Jared celebrated their August wedding in a very intimate ceremony in Madison. Having been members of the Eagle Heights Community Garden for years, they knew there was a beautiful prairie just a short walk away. It would be the perfect location for their short and sweet ceremony. The day prior to the wedding, they came and set up six mix-matched chairs they found after UW-Madison’s Moving Day. The chairs were utilized by their grandparents and parents. The rest of their guests stood around and witnessed these two adventurous souls coming together.
After the ceremony, Sonnie, Jared and I (Shannon) walked around the huge garden and surrounding trails. As we walked, I asked if they were going on a honeymoon. They quickly and excitedly answered, “we quit our jobs to travel for three months!” The following week, these two were off to the Mediterranean coast to explore Greece, Italy and all surrounding areas. The 14 other people who witnessed their beautiful ceremony organized to meet them in Italy three weeks later for a big celebration, lots of wine and lots of great food.
