We met Tyler back in May when we photographed Sara + John’s wedding.  Tyler is an outstanding videographer out of St. Paul (go check out his work – http://www.acowsay.com).  On Thursday he emailed us and said he was going to be in Milwaukee shooting a wedding but also he was going to propose to his girlfriend Erin on Sunday morning.  We had never met Erin before so she wouldn’t expect anything.

“I have put plans in motion to ask her a certain question on Sunday morning.  I asked her parents for permission months ago and have been waiting for the right time. I am thinking I will do it while adventuring about in Third Ward Sunday morning, before we go out to brunch, where I will have her family waiting.  I know this is last minute but wondering if you would be up for capturing the proposal?”

Yes.  Yes we would.

We told Tyler we would meet him on the Riverwalk around 10am.  We set up a fake engagement session with our friends Nick and Michelle so we could pretend we were taking pictures for someone else.  As Tyler and Erin appeared around the corner, we said good morning to them and they walked right past us like it was no big deal.  At that point, Tyler dropped down to one knee and the rest is history!
