Erika & Luke are married!
As we headed out to Rustic Manor 1848 on Erika & Luke’s wedding day, we realized autumn was on its way out. The leaves hadn’t peaked yet but the temperature in the air was in the low 40’s. It was really the first time we felt true cold this season. Erika & Luke’s original plan was to hold their ceremony on the beautiful grounds of the Rustic Manor. However, with the cold temperatures and the blustery winds, they made the decision to seal-the-deal in the cozy hayloft.
Their ceremony was truly one-of-a-kind. Erika has proud mexican heritage that she wanted to incorporate into their wedding day. Erika’s very good friend, Angelica, officiated half of the ceremony in English and half in Spanish. Luke said his favorite part of the day was reading his vows to Erika in Spanish. We gotta admit, it was pretty magnífico.
Erika said her favorite part of the day was “walking into the reception for the first time with everyone seated. Everyone was there for us and because of us. It was great to see everything and everyone coming together after so many months of planning”. It also probably helped that a sweet ass mariachi band lead the way! Seriously, guests were going plantanos. TJ and I were part of the excitement…. it was so so so cool!
So, their advice for future brides & grooms? “With that being said, don’t panic over things you can’t control, like the weather. Have a plan B, figure out a solution and move on. It’s not worth ruining your day over because it will be gone in the blink of an eye. Smile as much as possible and really let people know you appreciate their company and generosity. Spend as much time with your new spouse and your wedding party as possible. This day is all about you!”
Congratulations Erika & Luke!
