Kiersten & Mitch | A Downtown Milwaukee Wedding

Kiersten & Mitch met while attending Marquette University. Mitch saw this gorgeous blonde around the dorm and he waited for the perfect opportunity to ask her out. When his fraternity was throwing a “Beauty and the Geek” themed party, Mitch jumped at the chance. Kiersten agreed and they went to the dance together: Kiersten the beauty and Mitch the geek. Call it what you will…. Kiersten and Mitch compliment each other as well as any love story or fairy tale.

Though Kiersten grew up in Texas, they opted for a downtown Milwaukee wedding. They’ve seen a lot of places together, too but Milwaukee holds a special place in their hearts. It’ll always be the city that connected them. Being Marquette Alum, of course, they chose The Church of Gesu for their ceremony. Then, to bring in that Milwaukee charm they knew to grow and love, the celebration continued at Cuvee.

Because they wed in the catholic church, they were not able to read their own vows to each other in front of the congregation. It was very important to Kiersten & Mitch to do this so they opted for something a little different. Instead of doing a First Look, we dubbed the First Vows. With the Milwaukee skyline behind them, Kiersten and Mitch read vows to each other back-to-back. They both agreed this was their favorite part of the day!

It’s very clear Kiersten & Mitch compliment each other more than their “Beauty and Geek” personas. Kiersten is much more than the beautiful blonde in front of you and Mitch is far from a geek. Their genuinely kind personalities coming together is so powerful and contagious. One can’t help but laugh and feel loved around them. The room full of people have witnessed this for years, watching Kiersten & Mitch grow as a couple. We had the absolute honor to capture their most special day.
