And just like that, 2017 is gone!
With every passing year, we reflect on how lucky we feel. To capture your biggest moments is the highest honor. The words humbled, honored, grateful, thankful will never leave our vocabulary.
In 2017, we photographed 34 incredible weddings and also 24 engagement sessions. Fourteen of our past couples welcomed babies in 2017 and with that we got to snuggle, saddle and capture them in their first days on Earth. We were also a part of two proposals that made us (Shannon) cry behind the lens. We traveled to Chicago, New York City, Denver, Neenah, and back to Eagle River again! Some new venues for us included The Landing 1848, Wisconsin Brewing Company, Bishops Bay, Hubbard Park Lodge, South Second, Cafe Brauer, Morgan Manufacturing and Company Brewing.
With all the travels and new adventures, it seemed that 2017 was the year of the intimate backyard wedding and we totally loved it (seriously, bring on more)! We did some trespassing, got dirty, got rained on, enjoyed freezing and bitter temperatures, heard some of the sweetest personal vows, worked with some of best florists, makeup artist, hair stylist, bands, DJ’s, wedding planners this industry has to offer, rode a skateboard, saw *two mariachi and one by-boat entrance and laughed at some really bad jokes (TJ).
We feel so linked to every couple, family and baby we photographed this year. In order to not make this the longest blog in the history of blogs, view some of our favorite images below.
