Back in the 1950s & 1960s, advertisers made some bold statements with their products.  For example, cigarette companies claimed their cigarettes would cure asthma and/or make you skinny.  Sugar companies claimed that a spoonful of sugar would cure your hunger.

So why do we bring this up?  Well, a few weeks ago, we received a message from Cheri and Carl that they had a special announcement to make and wanted our help.  Not wanting to do a typical baby announcement, they showed us some old advertisements in which beer companies actually promoted their beer to expecting mothers!  They said it helped build strong babies!  Since we live in Milwaukee, we recognize the strong beer culture but still wanted to poke fun at this old logic.

For their idea, we met at the best cocktail lounge in the whole city, Bryant‘s.  After a quick photo shoot, Shannon was able to design a pretty awesome vintage ad for their baby announcement.
