Allison and Ryan an awesomely fun wedding day. When planning the day, they made sure to do a few things. One, plan for some fun between the ceremony and reception. We knew we had ample time to adventure around the Third Ward so the wedding party set up camp on the Cafe Benelux roof top patio. When we were done with portraits, we headed up there while the new bride and groom enjoyed a beer. Everyone was so relaxed soaking up the last of the summer sun.
TJ and I often tell couples how important this is but when it comes down to it, there just isn’t time to sneak away. However, before hitting the reception, Allison and Ryan took just a few minutes to get away. No parents, no photographers, no wedding party – just the two of them. Allison and Ryan were only gone for a few minutes but it was just enough time to soak in the day.
These two planned for an incredible day beginning at the Cathedral of St. John and ending at The Astor Hotel. Here’s how we saw it:
