Katie & Chris are married!
Through the wonderful world of weddings and friends, we’ve had the pleasure of knowing Katie & Chris for several years. We captured their love when it was brand new at Beth & Joel’s wedding. These two have an unmatched chemistry together. After leaving Beth & Joel’s wedding, we said “If Katie & Chris get married someday, I hope we get to photograph it.” Well the day came, went and we got to be there! The day was better than we could have imagined.
To maximize their day together, Katie & Chris did a first look pretty early in the day. As photographers, we selfishly love this. As a married husband and wife that didn’t do a first look (we regret it), we love this! It ended up being one of their favorite parts of the day! Chris also did a First Look with his mom and Katie one with her dad. These events were also favorites in the day. Emotions are high and it really kicks things off in a magical way. Since we had time and it’s one of their favorite spots, we met the wedding party at Wolski’s for an adult beverage. Katie & Chris live just a few houses down so we were able to stop and see their sweet German pup, Auggie.
The day was personalized to Katie & Chris because they made it that way! It had so much personality and flare, it’s going to be hard to top. For example, and it was the biggest surprise for Katie & Chris, was their officiant & friend who referred to himself as REV KEV recited the lyrics to 21 Questions by 50 Cent during the ceremony! The guests were rolling with laughter and Katie & Chris could barely contain their giggles.
For their entrance, Katie & Chris selected Led Zeppelin. They danced their way in, their guests sang, jumped and literally screamed with excitement. The small room was FULL of love to support Katie & Chris. It. was. awesome.
